Areeb Bhaila
I am an interdisciplinary strategy consultant turned software engineer.
Spent 6 years working at Strategy&, PwC with global TMT clients on corporate strategy, growth, acquisition and regulatory compliance. Some of my notable work has been advising Palestinian Authority on the sale of their 3G license, advising BT on their market entry strategy into Healthcare, advising Ocado Technology on the pricing and commercial model for automated car parks, working on Greater Manchester Combined authority to bring in local test and trace and modelling the workforce for COVID-19 vaccinations for NHS England. My areas of expertise has been the transforming of essential services through technologies like 5G, AI and AR/XR.
Currently, I work as software engineer at Patchwork Health, a health tech start-up that builds outcome based scheduling solutions for NHS hospitals. I run a small team that is building demand-based scheduling and supporting algorithmic rostering that ensures hospitals can safely staff wards while also meeting their worker's preferences.
